Welcome!
Welcome to Chris' Corner of Music of Collin County. The goal of my instruction is to instill a love of music while striving for musical excellence. I aim to help each student realize their full potential and realize how music can benefit all aspects of their life.
Opportunities to perform before audiences of 1 or more is critical in developing a well rounded musician which I provide through my membership in the Plano Music Teachers Association, Texas Music Teachers Association and Music Teachers National Association. Participation in the Royal Conservatory Achievement Program for the more serious or particularly talented learner provides added opportunities for growth. However, optional for my adult students who may feel self-conscious about this.
I have been teaching music privately for over 40 years and for over 20 years here in my studios in Plano and Frisco. In addition I am certified in Elementary and Intermediate piano instruction through the Royal Conservatory Music Achievement Program based in Toronto Canada and am a nationally recognized preferred Steinway Hall teacher.
Most of my students have been with me for many years including some who started with me in Kindergarten and stayed until high school graduation and even into college. A parent of a graduating senior commented that I became a friend to her and second mom to her daughter over the years that she was my student as this parent came to me with an occasional parenting question that I assisted her with.
If you wish to learn more about me and my studio you may contact me via this website or call (469)939-6968
Musically Yours,
Christina Jamal
